So many things are in the works, Including sprucing up the website, making the rules more clear(with pictures soon!) and adding some fluffy information/back stories/pictures to more units. Currently messing around with custom themes to make the site more interesting.

A few new things soon to come here at Papercraft. For one, a new nation. The Remnants of Heron are a lost group of constructs built by an ancient civilization. They are still being worked on so check out the recent changes page for future units of the nation. Also, a new website is in the works and will hopefully be running by summer.

Happy New Years everyone! Yes we've been busy with holiday events and what not but we've also been busy with Papercraft as well. Check out the recent changes page to see what we've been up to, like the seed tossing grave plant the warden tree!

I've been doing some cleanup lately, in hopes to organize the mess we have going on with backlinks and orphaned pages.
Most of them are gone…
We also have a downloadable template for you to use. If measuring twice isn't your thing then this file is just for you. With unit pieces and two rulers marked out for you all that needs to be done is to cut them out (do so with caution).
A few new units have popped up here and there. Though you may see a cutback in numbers of units released from now on. From here on into the future we will be focusing more on refining the material we already have.

Busy Busy Busy. Alot has been going on with PC, on and off the site. We have established weekly battles to test units and they have been nothing but a blast. Seeing strategies rise up from unit abilities is pretty exciting. Especially when the synergies of units weren't planned.
Testing has really helped shed some light on imbalance in units. One example being the arc blaster, which was incredibly over powered for its points cost. So we nerfed it accordingly and we hoped to have solved the problem.
I've also been busy sketching up some unit pictures which will be posted on their corresponding pages soon. As a little preview I posted two images already. Be sure to check out skeleton warriors and dromak'tu hunter.

Hey Papercrafters! Hope everyone is doing great. We certainly are. We're moving along at quite a steady pace forward. Some examples of the forward progression are:
- Fleshing out the Troops of Cimmeria a bit more. With more units on the drawing board.
- Terrain and large building rules completely mocked up. the only thing left is some testing and tweeking (T&T).
- regular Testing sessions being played. Every friday our group of friends pit a few armies against one another to see how certain units play out. This is also a really great way to spot small errors like typos and bad links.
- Finally, we've got some unit images sketched up which need to be rendered. These will bring some much needed color to the Papercraft site.
So as you can see we are chugging along smoothly.
And as always we can use your help. Go sign up at the forums and let us know what you think. Or just say hi. We'll be happy to see you.

Hi all! Just wanted to let everyone know we've been doing some cleaning. Fixing backlinks, formatting lists, organizing nations… Lots of boring but necessary stuff.
On the fun side of things we've unloaded a bunch of new units and a new sub-nation. The sub-nation is the Ouroborian Legion. They consist of highly skills alchemists and warriors for higher. Their units appear on both their army list and on the Mercenaries list. Most of the new units belong to that sub-nation but we also have a few other new units thrown around.

Every once and a while we'll get lazy here at Papercraft and not want to think of unit ideas for ourself. When that happens get ready for some of your favorite characters turned into Papercraft units.
Which brings us to our first Promo Units ever! Have Pokemon fever? We have three Promo Units just for you. We've turned the three original starters Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise from the original Pokemon games by Game Freak and Nintendo.

So I need to warn everyone… New Rules! We've added a Dodge/Hit mechanic to the game which you will need to learn to play. If you take a look at one of our newer units: steam powered rail gun you can see the new formatting all of the units will use. If you look around though you'll notice not all of the units look like this so you'll have to bare with us for the time being.
Also, with the new rules the points changed for most of the units. So, when browsing the unit lists only rely on the actual unit page.

Great news everyone! We have gotten some much needed testing done and are ready to start taking units out of the testing phase. We've also added a new nation Troops of Cimmeria. Not much we can say about them now. All you need to know is…Apes.
Anywho, we are also going to start adding "insert dev name here"'s suggestions to units to help you strategize and build your armies.

Just wanted everyone to know that we've added a new nation to the lineup for Papercraft. The Saurid Tribes are groups of Island dwelling dinosaur-like races that have decided to retaliate against colonization efforts of the more advanced civilizations.
Trust me they have some very cool units and more are on the way.

Quick Update!!!
More Rules!!!
So close to being done for this friday. It is possible that the rules will be done today but I can't make any promises (we know how those go anyway).
Update
So here is an update to this quick update… After Chocobodundee added some needed examples to the rules that were posted today I think they're ready. Thats right people! Have at it! As it stands we have everything you need to play Papercraft here on the site. Aside from the paper, and ruler, and dice, and… you get the idea.
!!HAVE FUN PLAYING PAPERCRAFT!!

Whoa what a crazy holiday season! Hope you all had a swell whatever it is you celebrate. In Papercraft news we have a bunch of new units, a new point system, and some rules!
The Units we added were mostly of the unaligned persuasion. Atlas Bear, Quartz Golem, or Wandering Barbarian can go in any army, no matter the theme.
The new point system we adopted worked out some of the kinks we were having. Basically it makes damage and hit chance more important than HP, which was the opposite with our previous point system.
The rules page was reworked and we have a few tips on how to make your army ready for battle!
We hope to soon have the finished rules posted and then be prepared to see those UNITS IN TESTING disclaimers to start disappearing. But we will still need your help. So to show your support sign up over at our forums and let us know who you are and tell us what you think of our site.

So I've done alot of formatting of the site, a few horizontal lines here, increased font size there, and BOOM! It seems like nothing got done. If you want to see the shiny new standard of the unit format look no further than Battle Priest. Also have the new Nations page up showing you the nations and a few of the units in their armies. Although the only one with a description is nadare-dynasty, albeit a short unfinished one.

Update
Unfortunately, for some unknown reason the formatting I did on Battle Priest reverted back to the old one. So at some point today I'm going to have to redo it…

Forums are up! However they need to go through some extensive formatting. As does this site. However if you wish to voice your opinion and chat with friends on our currently haphazardous forums right now you may certainly have at it.
As usual "Rules are on the way!" I promise I'll have them up by this weekend, and then we can all play and enjoy the game! Then, hopefully give feedback on the forums. After we get the kinks worked out I am looking forward to getting ideas and suggestions from players about the game. For some reason I really want to hold a contest at some point to make a unit.
There's work to be done.

Papercraft is currently in its Beta form. We are working hard to create and balance units for you to wage war with. The game is moving along nicely and if you check back occasionally we will most likely have more rules and units developed. A forum is in the works so you will be able to give us feedback on the game and chat with friends.
Check back soon as we expect to see our game rules and enough units to play finished shortly!
